Ingredients
  

Noodles & Sauce

  • 1 pound dried spaghetti or noodles can use thin Chinese wheat noodles or Japanese ramen
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon fish sauce
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce

Flavoring

  • 8 cloves garlic minced
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter ½ stick
  • 1 ounce Parmesan cheese ½ cup freshly grated or ⅓ cup store-bought, optional
  • 3 medium scallions optional, thinly sliced

Salt

  • to taste

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Bring a large pot of heavily salted water to a boil over high heat. Mince the garlic, grate the Parmesan cheese, and slice the scallions if using. Place oyster sauce, fish sauce, and soy sauce in a small bowl.

Cooking Noodles

  • Add noodles to the boiling water and cook according to package directions until tender. Meanwhile, melt butter in a frying pan and cook garlic until fragrant. Turn off heat and stir in oyster sauce mixture.

Combining Ingredients

  • Transfer the cooked noodles to the frying pan. Add some cooking water and cook while tossing until the sauce thickens slightly. Adjust with more pasta water as needed.

Final Touch

  • Turn off the heat and add Parmesan and half of the scallions. Toss to combine and serve garnished with remaining scallions.

Notes

This recipe can be easily adapted with additional ingredients as desired.
